The chief executive of NRG Energy has left the company and will be replaced by the board’s chairman while it searches for a permanent successor.
The power company said Monday that Mauricio Gutierrez has departed and resigned from the board. Chairman Lawrence Coben will take over as interim president and chief executive for the time being.
